On December 12, 2017, PMG’s Vice President and his entourage visited CVSS Lab. A series of application and research of computer vision and machine learning in transportation safety area were discussed.
PMG Technologies plays a leading role in the area of road safety and motor vehicles test in North America. It provides innovative research and compliance test services to government organizations and private industry.
On behalf of CVSS Lab, Akilan Thangarajah introduced the related research topics including pedestrian recognition and tracking, 3D face recognition, and human gesture recognition to Franck Bonny, the vice president of PMG Technologies. Mr. Bonny spoke highly of work that done by CVSS Lab, and hoped that the research results could be used for applications such as driver fatigue monitoring, road abnormality monitoring. Then, Akilan T. elaborated on his idea of PMG’s needs and also talked about the related industrial projects the CVSS Lab had done before. Finally, possibility of cooperation in the future was discussed.
